I did some diggin’

And there’s a really dark corner of tumblr. And I keep seeing it more and more lately. A bunch of people are against the FA’s on here which I can understand their argument but they go on so rudely about it that the argument is totally lost and just becomes a straight up hate crime. Not only that, but they really enjoy picking apart feminism like a flock of vultures. Understandably there is a lot to pick apart. There is inequality within the community, maybe some people have personal reason’s as to why they hate men, or they just really don’t comprehend what it means to be a feminist.

Why can’t all of us just be equal. Yes women are important, and we deserve respect, but when I see people within my community belittling women raping or sexual assaulting men, I feel ashamed, and guilty that they would even think something like that. I know more women that have been raped or sexually assaulted then I do men, in fact I only know one. But that still doesn’t make that one any less or more important then the others.

Before I get a bunch of angry feminists or a bunch of angry anti-feminists, I want both sides to just think how rude they’re being to each other. Seriously there’s no need. I don’t agree with the ‘anti-feminist’ views, and I don’t agree with the discrepancies within my community. But name calling and show boating don’t work, if you would like to say something, use facts, use knowledge and clear calculated words to get your message through. Trust me it works much better.
